Fused Quartz Coverslip #No2

I needed a durable, non-fluorescent coverslip for long-exposure microscopy, and the 0.20mm thickness on this quartz one is perfect for high-resolution work. The surface is incredibly smooth and clear, with no distortions I can see.

Finally got the #2 thickness dialed in for my fluorescence setup—the 0.20mm fused quartz is noticeably more uniform under polarized light than the borosilicate I was using. Slight warp at the very edge, but the optical clarity in the center is worth the extra handling care.

The 0.20mm thickness is exactly what I needed for my UV microscopy work, thin enough that it doesn't throw off my focal distances. Quartz instead of glass makes a real difference for fluorescence imaging. Arrived well packed with no chips or scratches.
