Schott RG830

Wasn't sure what to expect when ordering a filter this size, but the 3mm thickness gives it a nice heft that feels reassuring when handling. It arrived well-packed and sits perfectly in my optical setup without any wobble. Exactly what I needed for my longpass work.

The 830nm cutoff is exactly what I needed for my IR imaging setup, and it blocks the visible light cleanly. The 3mm thickness feels solid in the mount with no flex. Arrived well packed, no chips or scratches on the surface.

The 3mm thickness feels solid and well-made, and it fit perfectly into my filter holder. It does exactly what it’s supposed to for my near-IR imaging setup. Only wish it came with a protective case for storage.
