Schott RG850

Cut this 3mm RG850 to size for a long-pass filter in an IR photography project, and it blocks visible light cleanly with no pinhole leaks. The thickness feels sturdy enough to handle repeated handling during testing.

Installed this 3mm RG850 in my fluorescence setup and the sharp cut-on is exactly what I needed — no bleed-through from shorter wavelengths. Works perfectly as a longpass for blocking everything below 850nm.

Finally got around to testing this 3 mm thick RG850 filter and the cut-on is exactly where I needed it for my NIR setup. The passed signal is clean with no noticeable scatter even at steep angles.
